Did You Hear The News?

That's right, folks. Addy will soon be a BIG SISTER and Monty will soon be a BIG BROTHER (again)! We're have baby #2!! I am due August 22nd, so Addy and the new baby will be 2 years and 3 months a part. We couldn't wait to find out the sex. I really like to have everything ready, and since Addy and the new baby will be sharing a room, we would have to change the paint color from pink to something more gender neutral if we have a boy. The result of the ultrasound is that we're having another GIRL!! We're hoping to do another 3D ultrasound just as we did with Addy. Stay tuned for pictures from that experience!

Disney 2007

We have the privilege of having family that frequents Disney World. So, we were able to spend a week in Orlando with Gran-dad and Gran-mama Fitz before Christmas. We stayed in a glorious timeshare right outside the parks and spent the week riding rides, frequenting amazing playgrounds, and eating to-die-for food. We saw fireworks most evenings and stayed up WAY too late....or at least too late for an 18 month old (at the time)! Yes, this post is many months late but I wanted to share our pictures none the less. Check out the slide show!


Did I mention it was pretty chilly that week!! Addy had a good time ~ she was attached to Daddy the entire time and was a little scared of the characters, but she loved the rides (like It's a Small World), and the playgrounds (like Honey I Shrunk the Kids)! We went to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and MGM (her favorite) and even had dinner with Minnie Mouse!

Fun Pickin' Pumpkins

About a month and a half ago or so, we went out to McLean to pick out some pumpkins. We had such a blast that we went back a week later (and this time took the camera!) There were so many pumpkins to choose from!

The Littlest Indian

Osiyo.
Addy arrived home Thursday from play group all decked out in her Thanksgiving playgear. Each of the kids played as Indians with their own chosen Indian name. Addy was named Chenoa, for the Cherokee name meaning "white dove", (the actual Aniyunwiya name being Unega Woya) by her Daddy. The kids had a plains indian style tipi to play in and everything! :-) Here she is, Feathered headdress and all...

The Cutest Bumblebee

The Halloween festivities started off with a party for the kids and parents at Addy's daycare, which we refer to as playgroup. All the kids ran out from behind the curtain in their costumes to greet their parents. Addy was one of the last to come out and was more then a little skeptical of all the viewers. [if you blow up the first picture you will notice the quivering lip... :( ]

But, then she saw Daddy and all was better!

We then took the party home and out trick-o-treating. Addy did amazing, walking up to houses, and holding out her basket. We were out for about an hour!

Addy got a ton of candy! This is her sampling it ALL and organizing it after arriving home from trick-o-treating.

Curls Curls Everywhere

Addysen has the most beautiful curly blond hair! She loves getting her hair done, especially by Momma, which I love! She constantly carries her ponytail holders and barrettes around the house and attempts to do her hair with comb in one hand and ponytail holder in the next. This is a picture of her hair after we put in about 10 ponytail holders.
And, this is a picture of Addy with ponytail on each side just because it's adorable.

The Fitzgerald Family's First Post

OK, so we have joined the rest of the world. We are now officially bloggers, with a color scheme, webpage, and everything! We, of course, have not kept up with the times, but we hope to catch-up soon. First, it was young Jack, then the Florida Frahm's, then the Stratton's. Now, it's our turn. We're hoping this will be a way to keep in constant contact with family and friends. We hope you end up enjoying this blog as much as we will! Doug, Lyndsey, Addysen and Montreal
